This clumping plant thrives in a well-drained sunny site. It grows as a compact, understated rosette of foliage until the flower spike shoots up. The spike branches near the top and produces several bright yellow daisies. Unlike many other yellow daisies, it is slow to spread. For this reason, it is suitable for a formal garden. Also, it is an excellent plant for a pocket prairie. The daisies attract butterflies and other insect pollinators. It is reported to be deer resistant.
