This deciduous woody vine attaches to trees with aerial rootlets. It can grow as a groundcover if no support is available but it needs to climb to produce flowers. It does best with some sun with shade during the hottest part of the day. It may benefit from irrigation during droughts. Clusters of fragrant white flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
