This spring wildflower has small, white flowers on stems above the foliage. The common name refers to the leaves that divide and fork many times into narrow, untoothed segments. In May, the flowers clumps are going to sleep for the season. Because of its small size and ephemeral nature, this plant may be best suited to a naturalistic woodland garden. The flowers are pollinated by bees. Plants are regarded as fairly deer resistant.
