This wildflower has evergreen rosettes of leaves through much of the year. In late spring, branched flower stems produce large numbers of bright pink flowers above the foliage. The flowers open over several weeks. A well-grown plant is very showy. This colorful plant is suitable for a formal garden or a natural area. Remove old flower spikes if you wish to prevent spread by seed. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators. It is reported to be deer resistant.
