This wildflower creeps along the ground by stolons. It works beautifully as a groundcover in shady sites that are reasonably moist and well-drained. The arching leaves are attractive throughout the growing season. The blue flowers are held on short stalks above the foliage. They are perfect for a shaded rock garden, a container or wooded slope. Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds are reported to pollinate the flowers. It is resistant to deer browsing.
