This is a wildflower is in the same family as the garden amaryllis and narcissus. The leaves are long and strap-like. The fragrant, white flowers look somewhat like a daffodil, having a fused trumpet backed by six long, slender sepals. In nature, it grows among rocks in streams in full sun. The flowers are visited by butterflies and moths.
This plant is rarely available for sale. The Rocky Shoals spider lily is being considered for protection as an endangered species.
