This is a bushy little wildflower with small yellow flowers and leaves. It is said to be a short-lived perennial but it will produce volunteer seedlings. It is compact and suitable for a small garden and for naturalizing in a moist site. At the UNN, we have seen plants die back when they were too dry and then resprout when watered thoroughly again. Small bees and flower flies visit the flowers. It is resistant to deer and rabbit damage.

The seeds were collected in Greenville County.
