This wildflower has heart-shaped leaves and large clusters of small blue daisies. The plant is suitable for most situations from formal to natural gardens. It self-seeds easily so dead flowers should be removed where volunteer seedlings are not wanted. Unwanted seedlings can be pulled easily. The flowers attract to insect pollinators, including several specialized wild bees. It is reported by many sources to be deer resistant but deer have pushed their muzzles through a fence to browse on these plants at the Upstate Native Nursery.
