This wildflower has 2.5 inch wide, bright yellow daisies at the tops of tall, branched stalks. Its basal leaves are grass-like before the flower stalks develop. The leaves on the flower stalk are deeply lobed. It can be a short-lived perennial but it will produce volunteer seedlings in a suitable site. Use in the border or rock gardens and in swaths to provide a long season of color. Bees, butterflies and other insect pollinators visit the flowers. Birds will eat the seeds. It is resistant to deer.
