This is a compact form of the narrowleaf mountain mint. It is half the height of the typical plant and is densely branched. Like the species, it has very narrow leaves, a bushy, well-branched habit and no white leaves around the flower head. It's flowers are among the earliest of the mountain mints in the Upstate. It is easy to grow in the garden. Because of its low height, it can serve as a groundcover or a foreground plant in the garden. The mountain mints are outstanding at attracting insect pollinators. They are resistant to damage by deer and rabbits.
