This wildflower usually grows as a biennial or short-lived perennial but will reseed in the garden. Three inch wide, bright yellow daisies stand on leafy stalks above the foliage. This plant is easy to grow and is suitable for a formal garden to a natural setting. Volunteer seedlings are easy to pull. The flowers attract butterflies and other insect pollinators. It is a host plant for the silvery checkerspot butterfly and several moths. Birds will eat the seeds. Deer and rabbits may browse on this plant.
