This sturdy plant is a herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial. In a suitable site, it will continue through the years by producing volunteer seedlings. The colorful daisies are produced on branched stems. It may be best in a butterfly garden, pocket prairie or a natural setting. The daisies attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. It is considered to be moderately deer resistant. Rabbits will nibble young leaves.
