This colorful, carefree wildflower spreads by rhizomes to form a colony. Large numbers of showy orange-yellow daisies stand above the foliage on tall stalks. It is suitable for formal gardens with regular division and is excellent in pollinator gardens and natural areas. The flowers attracts butterflies and other insect pollinators. It is good as a cut flower. It is widely promoted as deer resistant but South Carolina deer and rabbits will browse on these plants.
